USED SCANNERS

CPS actively purchases high quality used iQsmart scanners and certain EverSmart scanners (such as the Supreme II) which are
given a full service and check over prior to being offered for sale by CPS. We include a minimum of 3 months Standard Warranty
cover with the option to extend this up to 33 months. All used machines come with a full guarantee and include the latest oXYgen
software version or a version of your choice to suit your operating environment. We also include a calibration slide, full mask set,
current FireWire cable and power cable so that you have everything needed to get up and running straight away.

In most cases we take back scanners that we have previously sold and maintained so that we are completely confident about their
condition and history. These scanners will have had a single previous owner and been serviced annually by CPS, we also keep a
record of parts replacement, software used and general wear and tear. We regard these machines as ‘premium used’ as they are
the next best thing to a new scanner. You can buy such scanners with complete confidence and our recommendation.
These scanners attract a small premium and are indicated in the list below as CPS APPROVED.

A WORD OF WARNING!
High-end scanners are very delicate pieces of
technology that require careful treatment and care.
If you are looking to buy a used iQsmart scanner
or EverSmart scanner on the open market please
consider the following before taking the plunge ..... Used iQsmart scanners are quite rare and do not
become available very often, so when they do the
resale values are usually quite strong. However,
you will sometimes find machines that appear to
be a bit of a bargain but these scanners can be
very risky as you don’t know what you are getting
and there is no mechanical guarantee.
If you buy from CPS all of our machines include a
full guarantee and warranty cover. Great care should be taken when purchasing any
used iQsmart or EverSmart scanner as invariably
they will have been moved around without having
the CCD transport mechanisms ‘locked down’
correctly. This can be very costly to rectify - you will
require a service engineer visit to re-align these
components or possible parts replacement if any
damage has occurred.
All CPS scanners are fully serviced and pass a
series of quality checks and tests before sale. Apart from alignment problems, the oXYgen
software included will be out of date and many
other accessories are normally missing. You can
easily end up spending £1,500+ on new oXYgen
software, a calibration slide, mask set and service
visit to get a used scanner up and running and this
will still not guarantee that something else won’t go
wrong. Buyer beware. You will have no such problems or worries if you
buy from CPS, we guarantee peace of mind (and
