EVERSMART SUPREME II - IMAGING EXCELLENCE, HIGH PRODUCTIVITY, AUTOMATION
EVERSMART SUPREME II

The EverSmart Supreme II scanner is designed to meet the most demanding requirements and is often referred to
as the ‘flat drum’. Drum scanners have always been regarded as the pinnacle of scanning quality, unmatched by
any flatbed. The Supreme II dispels this myth and not only provides equivalent (and in some instances superior)
quality but is significantly more productive, scans any type of original and is so much easier to use.

The Supreme II combines a huge package of exclusive technological advancements: XY-Stitch, Dynamic CCD
Cooling and MaxDR with the most advanced scanning software available – oXYgen Scan, to provide the ultimate
in flatbed scanning. In any situation where image excellence and speed are essential, the Supreme II must be the
choice. The Supreme II is also a must for Museums and Libraries where digital image archiving is a key
requirement for preserving historical, cultural and scientific content.

The EverSmart Supreme II is supplied with the oXYgen Scan application, the premium scanning and image editing
software from Kodak (developed by Creo). Intuitive controls, automation and intelligent default settings place a huge
amount of imaging power at the disposal of novices and experienced professionals alike. Easy to use controls give
you high quality results very quickly – you determine the scan‘s intended use and oXYgen does the rest for you. Or,
you can make up your own preferred profiles and apply them when you want. A full set of professional image-editing
tools are also included.

TECHNOLOGY EXPLAINED

XY-STITCH
EverSmart scanners use an exclusive scanning technology called
XY-Stitch. This facility delivers consistent sharpness and resolution
across the entire scanning bed. This uniformity and precision
means that any size original can be scanned at the highest
resolution available when placed anywhere on the scanning bed.
Other CCD scanners use zooming and multiple lens technology
that provide a ‘sweet spot’ for higher resolutions (often a narrow
strip down the middle of the bed) and are limited to much lower
resolutions for larger originals.

DYNAMIC CCD COOLING
The Supreme utilises a Dynamic CCD Cooling system to optimise
the sensitivity of the CCD by actively cooling and monitoring
ambient temperature and humidity during operation. This feature
enables the scanner to produce the very best scans with a wider
range of colour tones and maximum shadow detail.

MAXDR (MAXIMUM DYNAMIC RANGE)
The MaxDR feature distills high-quality image data to improve the
dynamic range in dark to mid-tone areas further improving the
vibrancy of delicate shadow details.

16 BIT DIGITAL TRANSPARENCY (DT)
The 16 Bit Digital Transparency file feature captures the maximum
amount of data from the original being scanned in Raw 16 Bit. The
DT file is the perfect solution for archiving applications as the file
can be rapidly recalled and re-purposed for print, screen or web.

16 BIT SOOM WORKFLOW
Scan Once Output Many (SOOM) workflow permits Raw 16 Bit DT
files to be re-purposed for as many different uses as required
without the need to re-scan.

OIL MOUNTING STATION (OMS)
The OMS is another unique design feature used exclusively by the
iQsmart and EverSmart scanner ranges. The scanner base glass
has a simple removal system so that it can be taken out and
replaced by the off-line OMS frame. Use of multiple OMS frames
greatly improves productivity in demanding environments. Bathing
film in oil conceals cracks and scratches (reducing retouching time)
and enhances image quality particularly where enlargements of
800% or more are required.
